Strain Gauges
Strain gauges are an essential tool for engineers who need to measure the effect of external forces on an object. These devices measure strain directly, allowing for the determination of stress, torque, pressure, deflection, and various other measurements.
These gauges are reliable and accurate, providing invaluable data for monitoring and analyzing structures and industrial machinery. With our Strain gauges, you can ensure the safety and efficiency of your equipment by detecting and addressing potential issues before they become critical.
Strain Gauge Arc Weldable
Vibrating Wire Type

The Model 4000 Strain Gauge is a versatile and reliable tool for monitoring and measuring strain in steel structures. Its arc weldable design makes it easy to install and adapt to a range of applications, including tunnel linings, excavation bracing, piles, and bridges.
With a 150 mm gauge length, 3000 µε range, and 1 µε sensitivity, this gauge provides accurate and precise measurements. Additionally, it can be adapted for bonding to concrete or for bolting to steel surfaces.

Strain Gauge Concrete Embedment -
Vibrating Wire Type

Our Strain Gauge – Concrete Embedment (VW) is the perfect tool for monitoring the structural integrity of your concrete structures. These gauges are specifically designed for direct embedment in concrete, and are available in two models – the standard Model 4200 with a gauge length of 153 mm and 1 με sensitivity, and the Model 4200ER with an extended range for measuring large strains up to 10,000 με. These gauges are commonly used for strain measurements in foundations, piles, bridges, dams, tunnel linings, and more.
The Model 4200L (low modulus version) is particularily suitable for measuring curing strains in concrete. High temperature versions are also available. The Model 4210 has a 250 mm gauge length making it particularly suitable for use in large aggregate concrete. The Model 4202 and 4204 are designed for laboratory use and/or where there are space limitations.
